Our Goal: $8,000
The first $3,000 will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to pledges from board members and an anonymous donor.
Grow Food Northampton
Grow Food Northampton provides tangible opportunities for people of all incomes, ages, and backgrounds to join the local food movement and create a healthier community.
100 acres of prime land to farmers who feed the community,
290 plots to gardeners who feed themselves,
thousands of Grow Food Kids experiences through cooking workshops and farm field trips,
the vibrant downtown Tuesday Market to connect farmers and customers for a half million dollars of sales,
and affordable local food for hundreds of low-income families through our many Grow Food Shares initiatives.
Your gift will help to support these Grow Food Shares initiatives:
Neighborhood Markets, bringing affordable local farm shares and produce sales to subsidized housing neighborhoods, the Northampton Senior Center, and two elementary schools.
SNAP Shares at Crimson & Clover Farm, providing a full farm share for 20-24 weeks at a discounted price for SNAP customers, who also earn Healthy Incentive Program (HIP) reimbursements.
The Giving Garden, a small, volunteer-focused, farm growing over 8,000 pounds of top quality vegetables and herbs for donation to food pantries and meal sites.
A 75% discount on plot fees and compost offered to all low-income gardeners at our community garden, affecting over 40 plots this year.
